Don't miss the opening concert of our 2011-2012 season, Saturday, November 5, 7:30 pm at the Hunterdon Central High School auditorium in Flemington.Michael Toth joins Hunterdon Symphony, conducted by Lawrence Kursar, for a performance of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. The Symphony will also be performing Copland's Appalachian Spring, Spirituals in Five Movements by Morton Gould, and Chadwick's Symphonic Sketches.
The concert, titled "American Spirits: Pioneers of the American Sound" showcases four American composers who were instrumental in creating an American style in music. The works to be performed were all composed within a 40-year span of time, between 1904 and 1944.
