What Do These Three Boys Have in Common?

What do these three boys have in common?

They are all members of the Hunterdon Symphony, and they will each be rising from their seats in the ranks to perform solos with the Symphony at the Concert for Young People this Saturday, February 5, at 3:00 pm.

If you love music, or your children are joining the growing pool of talented student musicians in Hunterdon County, you won't want to miss this opportunity to hear some of the finest the County has to offer. The concert is perfect for the entire family.

The Symphony, conducted by Lawrence Kursar, will perform Britten's Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra, which will be narrated by Don Reckenbeil, director of the Hunterdon Harmonizers. Neel Sangal, a senior at North Hunterdon High School, will perform the first movement of the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto, Andrew Langman, a freshman at North, will perform the first movement of Grieg's Piano Concerto, and Zachary Berkman, a senior at Voorhees High School, will perform Marcello's Oboe Concerto.

The concert takes place at the Clinton Township Middle School, 34 Grayrock Road, Clinton, NJ 08809, on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 3:00 pm. The snow date is Sunday, February 6.

All tickets are $5. - less than the price of a movie ticket - and can be purchased in advance at: Califon Book Shop, Clinton Book Shop, Teaberry's (Flemington), This and That (Milford), and Minette's Candies (Frenchtown) - cash or checks only. Tickets will also be available at the door (unless sold out) on the day of the performance.
