Come Hear the Story of Peter and the Wolf

Hunterdon Symphony, conducted by Lawrence Kursar, unites with Richard Egielski, Caldecott Medal-winning author-illustrator, on Saturday, February 9, to tell you the story of Peter and the Wolf.  Mr. Egielski, who also did the poster artwork, will narrate Prokofiev's classic tale while Hunterdon Symphony performs the music.

Richard Egielski graduated from Parson's School of Design, where he met and was a student of Maurice Sendak.  Mr. Egielski is the illustrator of over 50 books for children, eight of which he also authored.  He won the 1987 Caldecott for HEY, AL, written by Arthur Yorinks, and his books, BUZ and JAZPER, were chosen as New York Times Best Illustrated Books in 1995 and 1998.  A number of his books will be available for purchase and signing after the concert. (cash or checks only)

The concert, "Animal Antics", takes place on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Clinton Township Middle School, 34 Grayrock Road in Clinton, NJ.  The snow date is Sunday, February 10 at 3:00 pm.

Tickets are $5 each and are available at:  Clinton Book Shop, Califon Book Shop, Teaberry's (Flemington), Minette's Candies (Frenchtown), and This and That (Milford).
